About Ragdolls
If you are looking for a big, loveable, huggable, and very kissable cat, the Ragdolll may be the breed for you. The ragdoll cat's presonality is probably its most distinctive quality. They are known for being very people orientated and calm yet always ready to play (they can even learn tricks)!
An unbelievably affectionate cat, the Ragdoll has an extremely gentle, relaxed personality. They are attention-seeking animals and are said to walk behind their owner around the house. They socialize very easily with strangers and love to be in the company of children.
Ragdolls can grow quite large in size with males sometimes weighing up to 20 pounds and females weighing up to 15 pounds. Ragdoll's have a coat that is semi-longhaired with rabbit like fur. They require minimal grooming on a weekly basis to keep their coat healthy. One of the characteristics of the breed is their fine and light coat which does not mat easily and does not tend to get caught in the fibers in the furniture.
Ragdolls are a pointed car which means that they have color on their face, ears, legs, and tail, with a much lighter body color. They come in seal, blue, flame, creme, tortie, lilac, and chocolate.
Ragdoll color patterns include bicolor, mitted, lynx, and colorpoint.
